Bangkok Honeymoon Tour ~ (7 June 2017 - 14 June 2017) - Part 1

Yay, finally got time to blog about our Bangkok trip in June! (though it is Sept now haha) This is the second trip with only the both of us together overseas. I really enjoy solo trips together!! though group trips are fun too..

Doing planning together is something which I am still getting used to . But after our 1st honeymoon trip to Phuket together, where we booked our accommodation ON THE PLANE..I think I am getting more and more flexible at a rate of 90s/min. =D

Sometimes, being open and flexible might not be a bad thing too, instead of being so stressed up on detailed work..

I must say, I really enjoyed this trip soo soo much! With all the impromptu and spontaneous things we did. Haha..I am really impressed!

I LOVE MANGO STICKY RICEEE!

At the airport! :)
OK so we started our research and booking, one two weeks before the departure date. Air tickets were book earlier, the rest is as and when we feel the time is right.

We decided to go for a 7D7N trip to Bangkok. Why? Because the wife feels that since we already bought the air tickets, might as well stay there as long as possible, to maximise the ticket cost. ;)

The rough itinerary was to first stay in a lower cost hotel for the first night, followed by Nap Hotel Bangkok, Escape Khao Yai Hotel, the caravan (Casa De Montana), and then to a hotel near Don Muang Airport Hotel at the last day. Shall give some truthful reviews of all the hotels we stayed below!

The price range of all the hotels above are less than $100 per night~FYI.

As some of you may know, Khao Yai is about 2.5-3 hours ride from BKK. We booked a car with driver for a ride to Khao Yai for 2days @5000baht. (about $200)

Do feel free to comment if you need more info! Shall write more details here as some of our friends are asking for the itenary and details of the trips. :)

Shall let the pictures do the talking!

Must have-SIM Card for wifi!

First, this is the place we stayed for $22.40 for the first night. It is value for its price and about 15mins drive from airport. Don't expect super good service though. And be careful when taking the taxi! The driver actually drove us somewhere near and switched of his metre, and demanded about 150baht, instead of about 100-120baht. We went to ask the receptionist for change and got scolded as they said they do not have change. Nevertheless, it was a good stay there as the basic facilities was available and place was clean!

Name of hotel. 48 Ville Donmuang Airport

The bedroom
Toilet with soap freely available,VERY IMPT!

The next morning, we went down for a simple yummy breakfast! The food looks good!

Why does the porridge looks  yummy too!

My breakfast! :)

Me in BKK! =D

Next, we went to our next accommodation at Nap Hotel Bangkok. The venue is really pretty and a good place to take instagram photos. Serve good breakfast, have good service too. The only downside, is that it is located in a deep area, so it is not super convenient, if you know what I mean. It was a great stay there though, because the design of the venue and bedroom was so lovely! :)

N.A.P = Need a Pillow! Took me a while to get that. haha.

A very excited me who can't wait to NAP!

Cosy sweet room for about $60/night!

We then felt hungry and went somewhere nearby to have our lunch!!

Tom Yam! A lot of liao inside..like 15 mushroom. Worth it or what?!

We then saw some insects which can be eaten. But nOOoO don't dare to.

Next we went to Centrepoint and it was so full of people!

the mangoes looks so big and fresh!! *repeat because it is so nice* O.O Hungry now when I am blogging, though I just finished lunch. LOL

We then decided to go and watch Movie First Class, as we have not done before in SG! It was really comfortable experience with the bed-like chair and all. Grateful for it and not taking any minute for granted!! =)

Eat me Eat me!! :D
Next, we shopped around the platinum fashion mall for 2 days. Below are the breakfast pics @Nap Hotel!

Then it was the must go venue @ Mr Jones orphanage! Can I say it looks beautiful though the place was slightly cramp? Ate delicious food there! :)

Yes, be nice to your mum!! such a sweet message on the straws=)

Don't judge me. I am just hungry.LOL.
We them impromptu and took a motorbike near Nap Hotel, to Princess Terrace. Dan wanted to bring me to Princess Cruise, but we ended up abit lost and ate at Princess Terrace (with the cruise passing by us hahaha.) The ambience was good, with the music band and all. Felt so relaxed and happy sitting close to the sea and eating with music. A must go!! though a long way from the city. I will highly recommend this place, because not only the food is affordable, such ambience will not be possible here because it is so crowded!

The place we wanted to go!

The place we ended up~watching the ship sail pass...

OK I shall go take a break and come back to blog the part 2 soon, the ZzZ monster is attacking me. Maybe it will be October then. LOL. See ya!!
